Zoo Safari Summer Camp 2024

Zoo Safari Summer Camp is a Monday - Friday day camp for 3 hours each day.

Each week includes a camp t-shirt, a camp bag, encounters with our animals, snack time, crafts, & hands-on activities!

Camp is offered for 9 weeks of summer 2024 with morning and afternoon sessions:

The morning session is from 9 am - 12 noon

The afternoon session is from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

$80 for 1 week of camp for one session (morning OR afternoon)

*Campers are grouped into 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th grade.

***Please register campers for the grade they will be attending in the fall 2024 school year.

Each grade level’s class is aligned with science topics covered in their grade’s TEKs.

This summer’s focus is the animals, habitats, and cultures of North & South America.

Critter Classification (going into first or second grade)

Discover the slinky, furry, and fluffy critters of Ellen Trout Zoo. Campers will come face-to-face with creatures great and small, play games, and be creative with animal crafts as they explore their zoo!

Wild Detectives (going into third and fourth grade)

Become Eco-explorers and investigate endangered animals and their endangered wild homes. Campers will meet rare and endangered animals, go behind the scenes, and discover ways to help conserve and protect our animal friends.

Zoo Engineers (going into fifth and sixth grade)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you ran the zoo? Campers will design exhibits for their favorite zoo animals, learn about zoo operations, develop an enrichment project, and find out about zoo conservation.
